Graffiti marks Maple Leaf walls along Roosevelt Way

February 15th, 2013 by Mike

Northeast 85th Street at Roosevelt Way Northeast this morning.

Cliff, at Art Tile, emails:

“The north side of our building was tagged last night. Green spray paint. Tried to report it on line but I don’t think the system took the report.

“Keep an eye out.”

In fact, in addition to Art Tile, at 8511 Roosevelt Way Northeast, several other walls were marked on the west side of Roosevelt between 85st and 86th streets.

Share office space in Maple Leaf for free (for another week)

May 25th, 2010 by Mike

You might have seen the sign on Roosevelt Way Northeast: “The Maple Leaf Branch – Coworking Office.”

What’s that? (Yes, it’s spelled correctly.)

According to the office’s website it includes:

A place to work and connect.

Fast wifi, electricity, and other essentials.

A reason to wear something other than pajamas.

Copy/print/fax machine.

A dog friendly environment.

“Coworking” is sharing office space. There are at least five coworking locations in Seattle, including one in Ballard.

Here in Maple Leaf, though, the office space at 8503 Roosevelt Way N.E. is being offered for free until June 1, so you and your dog go try it out! After June 1 it costs between $13 and $20 a day; prices are here.
