Since our last crime report at the end of August:
* Neighbors at Nextdoor Northgate/Maple Leaf reported a 4 a.m. prowler in their back yard on Wednesday. Police arrived within five minutes and took the man into custody. This occurred at Northeast 90th Street and 12th Avenue Northeast.
UPDATE Friday morning: Overnight the homeowners posted that they were burglarized Thursday, every room ransacked and numerous items stolen. This would have occurred during the day between 8:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
* Another neighbor at Northeast 89th Street and 17th Avenue Northeast reported a burglary in process – of a bicycle – at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
* Zack emailed on Tuesday:
My vehicle on Northeast 98th Street between 15th and 12th avenues northeast was “broken” into last night. They went through glove box, trunk, etc and threw everything around. Nothing was actually broken…I may have left it unlocked as I sometimes do with no valuables…keeps them from breaking locks/windows I guess.
I don’t keep anything in there…but worth noting I guess.
Probably the 4th time in 5 years.\
Also, several people have reported hearing a gun shot today at around 2:18 a.m. near Northeast 91st Street and 17th Avenue Northeast. There is nothing on the Seattle crime maps, though.
