Woman stabbed near Northgate

Seattle Police have emailed this:

On May 18th at approximately 4:34 p.m. officers responded to 1st Avenue NE and NE 103rd Street for the report of a stabbing. Officers located a teenaged female victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds. SFD medics are on scene treating the victim at this time.

The suspect, who remains at large at this time, is described as a 16 year-old black female. It is unknown what precipitated the altercation.

Officers continue their active area search for the suspect.

  1. I don’t find this in the paper. Sounds awful. Why do these things happen when my 16yr old, who is NOT a mall rat by the way, is in the area. Do other transit areas have issues like this? It seems like that area got worse since the Theater and stuff went in. Should there be more security there? Right in the middle of the day,too.
