At 2:30 p.m. it’s still snowing lightly in Maple Leaf, but the storm is winding down.

The side streets are full of people, not cars. (We traveled by x-country ski.)

Updates: Cloud City Coffee is closing at 4 p.m., Reckless Video at 8 p.m. The Roosevelt Ale House and the Maple Leaf Grill are open. The Snappy Dragon is closed.

15th Avenue Northeast at Northeast 88th Street, 2 p.m.

  1. Remember when we were talking about mandatory sidewalk shoveling recently? I was opposed due to 2 previous falls. I went to a nearby business today and decided to step in an area that had been shoveled down to the pavement. Duh! 😛

First I slid backwards and nearly hit my head then slipped and fell face first on the pavement cutting my hand open and busting my knee cap. Boo to the passerby who saw this and kept walking. I’m old, not drunk. lol
