The space vacated in winter by La Bera Cafe still appears vacant, but there at least seems to be some activity at 1000 N.E. Northgate Way, where a new sign now hangs for what will be called The Fine Diner International Cuisine.
Let’s hope this also is a sign for a bountiful summer of new restaurants in the neighborhood.
In addition to the recent opening of COA Mexican Eatery & Tequileria, 7919 Roosevelt Way N.E., the Flying Squirrel Pizza Co. recently stated on its Facebook page that it’s still on schedule to open in July at its Maple Leaf location at 8310 Fifth Ave. N.E.
Who’s hungry?
GOD HELM ME
Somebody needs to put a good BBQ joint in that place.
It’ll be closed in less than 6mos. There just isn’t a good enough formula to fit that location other than some nasty national chain. And yes, a remodel is waaaaaay overdue.
Sorry.
Looking forward for your “yum yum” International cuisine.
Hi Ron & Jon, Congrats on your new business venture. I wish you luck guys. You’re such a wonderful couple.
“International Cuisine”…really? What exactly could that mean…not sure I’ve ever said to myself: “I am hugnry for some international cuisine”.
I suspect this place might last as long as La Bera.
Is it just me, or does this building need a make over desperately? As long as their is a lobster painted on one side of the building, I will have a hard time seeing it as anything but the “crab shack.”
