Maple Leaf burglaries on TV!

Keying off the overnight break-in at Cloud City Coffee, KOMO-TV today produced a piece titled: “String of burglaries in Maple Leaf.”

In fact, the TV news truck is at Cloud City  now (6 p.m.).

Pharmacist Bill McNary told us earlier today that the KOMO crews were back in the neighborhood. He dealt with them last year after his Maple Leaf Pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint.

He told KOMO today: “I think it has something to do with our location, proximity to I-5. It’s an easy in, easy out area.”

KOMO also reported that “neighbors say they’re working with police to get more patrols in the area.”

If you want to talk to police about crime here, come to the Maple Leaf Community Council general meeting 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Olympic View Elementary, 504 N.E. 95th St. Police officials will be on hand.
