You don’t have to go all the way downtown to the Seattle Art Museum’s landmark Picasso exhibit to see some of artist’s masterpieces. Fine Impressions Gallery, 8300 Fifth Ave. N.E., also is featuring some of Pablo Picasso’s posters, such as the untitled piece at left, both on its website and at the store in conjunction with the American debut of the collection.
Also featured at the Maple Leaf gallery in November is art showing Fashion and Costumes. From the monthly newsletter:
The way we dress ourselves – for special occasions or everyday wear – has often been a subject for art. We have magazine fashion illustrations, clothing shown in historical subjects, the illustrations that were done at the time of world exploration in the 19th century, and many others.
Although much of the Fashion and Costumes inventory is featured online, Fine Impressions also has a selection of “L’Art et la Mode” Fashion Prints from 1912 edition, such as the one shown above, that only can be viewed and purchased at the gallery.
