Pub still likely despite for sale sign at Divine

When the Greek restaurant Divine shut its doors after four years in the Maple Leaf neighborhood at  7919 Roosevelt Way N.E., owner Vivian Peterson said a pub would be going in its place.

So when we noticed this for sale sign on the building, we gave Peterson a call. Officially, the deal has not gone through yet, but Peterson said she remains confident that the buyer will follow through with the purchase, and she expects an English pub on this corner lot by October.

We’re still hoping to talk with the new owner about his plans for the pub. Readers, do you have any recommendations?
