Don’t let your opportunity to embellish Maple Leaf’s “urban forest” with free trees from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods pass you by.

Its Tree Fund is accepting applications from groups of at least five neighbors on a block for 10 to 40 trees, but only until 5 p.m today.

You can download an application here (pdf), which then must be turned in to the Neighborhood Matching Fund office. You will be notified within six weeks whether your group will be among the award recipients.

For more information, contact Judy Brown with the Department of Neighborhoods at 206-684-0714.
