Parked car hit on Roosevelt

Can we expect to see more incidents like this after the 15th Avenue bridge over Thornton Creek closes and Roosevelt Way becomes even more of a main thoroughfare?

A neighbor said he heard a loud crash Friday at 6:30 a.m., when a car heading northbound collided with the above car, parked on Roosevelt Way Northeast just north of Northeast 96th Street. It appears the traveling car also downed one of the city’s No Parking signs and badly damaged a tree.

No update yet on the closure of the 15th Avenue bridge, located just south of Northgate Way between 107th and 104th streets, which was slated to begin sometime in March. Stay tuned.
