Shortly after midnight an armed robbery occurred at a businesses  in the 13000 block of Roosevelt Way Northeast, police report.

About an hour and a half later, Guardian One, the King County Sheriff’s helicopter, was sent over Ballard in search of a similar suspect, police believe.

Both cases were similar. In Ballard, police tell us that at approximately 2:45 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at a business in the 3200 block of Northwest 54th Street. The suspect took cash from the register and left. Officers contained the area and police dogs attempted to track the suspect, but he wasn’t located.

According to police, the suspect is described as a black male, in his 40s, 5-foot-8, wearing a gray jacket. He was wearing a heavy black ski cap pulled low on his face, and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.  (Thank you Silver for the tip!)
