That particularly garish bit of graffiti is gone from Maple Leaf Reservoir Park, and we have a new way to report future problems. This incident was originally reported on Seattle Public Utility’s graffiti report form and to the Graffiti Hotline (684-7587). The report apparently got lost between SPU and parks. Police detectives are searching for an armed robber who targets restaurants and coffee shops – including one in Maple Leaf. A popular northeast Seattle event is this Saturday evening, and a few tickets remain. The event is NEST’s annual community dinner, this time featuring northeast resident Steve Scher of KUOW fame. The dinner is a fund-raiser for NEST – North East Seattle Together. It will be held Saturday, May 9, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Faith
