Maple Leaf’s own Divine, 7919 Roosevelt Way N.E., is taking its place at the table of Seattle’s best restaurants this weekend at The Bite Cooks! and The Alley at this weekend’s Bite of Seattle.
Owner Vivian Peterson is scheduled to take the stage at Fisher Pavilion from 2-2:30 p.m. Saturday, where she’ll show the audience how to make Divine Pastichio (pdf), then take questions and comments from the audience.
Meanwhile, Divine head chef Kesava Morton will be making Tiropita, triangular fillo cheese bites topped with pear relish, for visitors who make their way Saturday into The Alley, where you can sample various “bites” from some of the area’s best restaurants for $10.
“It’s one of the busiest sections at the Bite of Seattle,” Morton warned. He said the line usually starts before The Alley’s 11 a.m. opening time and it never really gets any smaller.
