Update Monday Jan. 4, 9 a.m.: Snowing lightly.
4 p.m.: Cliff Mass.“Quite honestly, our forecasting models had the timing of this band off by at least 6 hours….it came much earlier than expected.”
2 p.m. Sticking.
Update 1 p.m. Snowing lightly here. National Weather Service, Seattle, says up to a half-inch on the ground by morning.
Yes, we are semi-obsessed with snow.
It’s been too long since there were over a dozen snowmen in the park.
Yet, here is tonight’s forecast for Maple Leaf:
“A chance of rain before 10 p.m., then snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Light east northeast wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.”
And for Monday:
“Rain and snow likely, becoming all rain after 10 a.m.”
Those are from the National Weather Service, Seattle. However, the Old Farmer’s Almanac thinks Seattle is in for it:
“Jan 4-12: Snowstorm, then rain, heavy at times, turning mild.”
