A neighbor emails this afternoon:
Just wanted to share that my pup and I ran into a very polite animal control officer at the park today. Apparently there was an unfortunate bite incident earlier this week and they will be patrolling the park for leash-law breakers for a little while.
Just a reminder from one dog owner to others that leash laws exist for everyone’s comfort and safety.
~ From a neighbor and dog mom
Need to remind folks leash laws apply to walking your dog in the neighborhood, too!
Last night while I was watering plants in my back patio, I heard & saw a small terrier growling at my cat–fortunately the gate kept him from coming all the way into my back yard & doing more. I heard someone call for him, but it only moved after I sprayed it with water.
I was bitten by an off leash cat.
In other news, police confiscated 54 POUNDS of narcotics:

Tip of the hat to the agencies involved. Thank you.
Our dog was attacked and but by off-leash big dog last week while we were walking 8th and 97th street. Owner was there but that dog was off-leash. Please keep your dog on-leash.
Good comment. Not really though.
Great! Some a holes dog urinated on the kids waterbottle off leash there. Maybe theyll enforce the no dogs on the playground too.
Really wish theyd have made an offleash area so that the dog owners had their own place and we didnt have to put up with them offleashing it, cause you know, yeah.
