Joslyn Guijarro, of Cloud City Coffee, hands out treats during the Parade of Costumes.
These two additional photos are by Maple Leaf resident Terry Parkhurst. Thanks, Terry!
The Sixth Annual Maple Leaf Parade of Costumes has started on Fifth Avenue Northeast.
In the sun! Although the National Weather Service, Seattle, reported within the hour:
“We got 0.15 (inches) in the short time the line went through. Line continues to move southeast at around 30 mph. There might be some small hail with it as well.”
Starting with around 50 walkers (and two dogs), the side streets are still lined with costumed figures. At least 70 are likely to complete the route ending at Maple Leaf Reservoir Park.
Really fun for the little guys (like our Wolverine pictured here!) – such a great event for our neighborhood!
