Now that Tax Day is past, it's time to shred

As the threat of identity theft continues to grow, so does the need to shred unwanted personal documents.

But if you don’t have access to a shredder, the Better Business Bureau has you covered.

The organization’s “Secure Your ID Day” on Saturday invites you to bring up to three grocery bags or three boxes full of documents you need shredded, and they’ll be shredded on the spot at locations around the nation. And we just happen to be near Washington state’s only shredding location: Bill Pierre Ford at 11525 Lake City Way.

You’re asked to bring your documents between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and the bureau requests no cardboard or three-ring binders. For more information, contact Niki Horace at events@thebbb.org.
