Although readers reported only slush last Thursday evening in Maple Leaf, this morning’s National Weather Service forecast points to a renewed chance of snow toward the end of next week.
On Wednesday and Thursday nights the snow level drops to 400 feet, the weather service predicts, and snow is in the forecast both Thursday and Friday.
Maple Leaf reaches 466 feet.
Also, the forecast discussion for Monday includes “locally heavy precipitation is possible on Monday along with gusty winds.”

- On Queen Anne.
- In south Everett, now stopped.
- In Lynnwood.
On its Facebook page, the National Weather Service in Seattle posted a short-term forecast at 7:16 p.m. for a band of moderate rain moving north across Snohomish County.
“THE AIR IS COLD ENOUGH SO THAT SOME SNOW COULD BE MIXED IN WITH THE RAIN…ESPECIALLY ON HILLS. THERE COULD ALSO BE SOME ICE PELLETS. NO SNOW ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED.”
