Don’t let the blustery weather keep you from tonight’s Art Up Artwalk from 6-9 p.m. in the Greenwood-Phinney neighborhood. In addition to the two dozen businesses that will be open through the evening, our sister blog PhinneyWood says a new store will join this month’s event: Tasty, 7513 Greenwood Ave. N., which features “delectable collectibles” from dozens of local artists.
The weather is expected to mildly improve Saturday and Sunday, so hop on your bike for a trip to the Seattle Bicycle Expo at Pier 91 at the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal. Our partner Magnolia Voice says the show will feature more than 300 exhibits on bikes, gear, travel, health and fitness, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets for adults are $10 for a single-day pass and $12 for a two-day pass; ages 15 and younger are free. Click here for a discount coupon.
Here in Maple Leaf, “The Secret Life of Bugs” is playing at Northwest Puppet Center at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $8.50 for children, $10.50 for adults and $9 for seniors. Read more about the show on our earlier post.
And don’t forget about this month’s Dine Around Seattle promotion that offers a three-course lunch for $15 and a three-course dinner for $30 at select restaurants, Sunday through Thursday throughout March. Although there are no Maple Leaf restaurants in the mix this time around, a couple of nearby restaurants taking part include Nell’s at Green Lake (6804 E. Green Lake Way N.) and Eva in Tangletown (2227 N. 56th St.), both of which only serve dinner.
