“Northgate Nan” emails this afternoon:
I saw this Seattle Police van parked yesterday afternoon and two officers walking east on Northgate Way from the complex where FedEx is. It looked like they were stopping in to the businesses along the way. I thought this might be good for folks to know about with all the trouble going on lately.
Soft Judges, Make Hard Criminals.
I had a neighbor who said of the thug who killed a man in Greenwood over his cellphone: “this kid just needed more resources.” My response was )(*&^$@$#@#.
Regardless of how efficient the police are the judicial system does nothing to curb repeat offenders. Apparently the city should just give out free hugs to make these poor victimized offenders realize the err of their ways. After all it is not them that is at fault. Their crappy childhood. Their fathers who look down upon them or were not there. Or maybe they don’t have the right shoes. Innocent victims are the ones that’s paying for it though.
Doubt it, because
1) It’s further away
2) Cops don’t respond from the precinct
Some bicycle cops would be useful. The planning documents for the Northgate Urban Village discuss the “Superblock” layout of the area. Bikes are perfect for getting around such an area, able to traverse where a car would have to go around.
Will the new police precinct at NE 130th and Aurora get us quicker response times at Northgate than the old location on Meridian?
Awesome indeed. We need everyone to be ‘aware’ when driving around (not just zoned out), especially those of us who know and frequent the area often.
I saw the transit police patrolling the transit center last night. Another hot spot around here
Awesome! Maybe they’ll arrest the pack of thugs that has been attacking people on Northgate Way!
