This week two Maple Leaf institutions made the Seattle Weekly’s Best of Seattle list.
At least, we think they have.
We can find the link to Judy Fu’s Snappy Dragon, voted Best Chinese Restaurant. “Clay Pot Stews. Enough said.”
And Math ‘n’ Stuff has posted on its Facebook page that it was voted “Best Geeky Store.” Congrats! But, we can’t find that link. Help?
Found it! On page 95 of the hard-copy Weekly:
We mustn’t forget forget the archeology beginner’s kit; that area in your backyard looks suspiciously old and probably contains lots of dinosaur bones.
Incidentally, Math ‘n’ Stuff has a 20-percent-off sale through Saturday.
2013 marks Math ‘n’ Stuff’s 20th Anniversary in business!
We are quite proud of this milestone, and to celebrate, we have decided to do a 20/20 SALE!
We support Math & Stuff for games, pencils, gifts, books when we can but when a Seattle school teacher recommended a specific workbook for my kid’s grade, they were out of stock and I ordered from Amazon Canada (cheaper than Amazon US including shipping! wow!).
Math & Stuff carries Saxon Math and Singapore Math, remedy curriculum for the not-quite-adequate math curriculum approved by the Seattle School District. That reason is among many why M & S should be supported.
And no, I don’t work there, but I’ve wanted to for years…
Many of you were all up in arms about the delivery drivers speed, from Snappy Dragon. Now, that our local business is on some list, they are our little darlings.
Judy Fu’s is overrated. The guy that runs the front can be a real jerkwad. We go to Chiang’s to get our fix instead.
I like supporting local businesses as much as the next guy, but last time I looked at picking up a game at Math & Stuff, it was 20% more expensive than what it would cost me on Amazon.
Good thing there’s a 20% off sale!
I heard Math & Stuff is running into some finance issues. 🙁 Anybody who can, stop on by and purchase an awesome game! We’re hoping to pick up Dominion… 🙂
