Update: Shortly before 12:30 p.m. Seattle Police tweeted:
Update on 103/meridian incident: victims injuries appear to be self-inflicted. Police will be clearing the scene shortly.
—————————————————
Seattle police hostage negotiators are at an apartment just north of North Seattle Community College where a woman was stabbed multiple times earlier this morning.
That woman was in critical condition when taken from the apartments in the 10300 block of Meridian Avenue North shortly before 11 a.m.
Our news partners The Seattle Times are updating the story here.
For the interested, that’s pretty much the address for the police station, too.
Crackerjack reporting, Seattle Times! = The stabbing victim may or may not be inside or outside of the apartment building, and she is presumed to possibly be either a woman or a man, and either phoned 911 herself or if not then someone else did, and a hostage situation may still be underway, either that or she was already rushed to the hospital a couple hours ago. Oh, and the wounds were self-inflicted? So she held herself hostage outside by the pay phones, then made it back into the building, then… ???!?! “Details are sketchy.”
