Maple Leaf Life reader “a dude” had it right back in May when he said the old Northgate liquor store would be reopening as a BevMo!
According to Seattle Weekly’s Voracious newsletter, the alcohol warehouse is opening Friday at 10700 Fifth Ave. N.E., making it the first BevMo! in Seattle and fifth in the state since liquor sales moved into the public sector. Doors open at 9 a.m., and the first 500 people in line will receive a complimentary gift bag valued at more than $50 each.
Voracious says the liquor store will offer thousands of wines, spirits and beers in the 10,750-square-foot location.
I stopped by Bob’s Lake City Liquors and loved the store! The staff was wonderful and on Mondays they have a nice wine lady that suggested some very good and cheap wines that they exclusively carry. They also have some really beautiful baskets that have beer or wine with other fun items that are great presents. I will be returning soon.
i stopped-in the soft-opening on Thursday and it is a vast improvemnt over the old WSLCB… store is 3 or 4 times as big and has lots of chilled stuff. Prices were not cheap at all but they did have some 2-for-1 wine deals. Definitely worth a stop (after the crowds die down).
Awesome ! I am looking forward to Bob’s Lake City Liquor opening soon. Northgate traffic is a bit annoying and Bob’s is right Lake City and I drive by on my way home.
Yes, another addition to the chain scene of Northgate but don’t forget our own Maple Leaf Neighbor, David LeClaire, has the locally owned Wine World & Spirits at 45th and I-5. The selection and staff are amazing! And great gifts for the holidays.
