The dog has been returned to its owner, in case anyone else was wondering
My 16 year old daughter found him while walking our dog and a friend’s dog who we’re sitting over the summer while my husband and I were taking daughter #2 to camp on the coast today. She had to call Seattle Animal Control after being unable to locate an owner. Thirty minutes after he was picked up, the owner called. She was from Eastern Washington, visiting her adult sons and he got out of their yard, losing his collar and tags in the process. A happy reunion will happen soon.
Our dog has gotten out of the yard a few times and a caring person took her to Seattle Animal Shelter where her chip was scanned, her license info was found and we had a call in just a few hours to let us know she was safe and could be picked up the next day. I have a good friend who is a former employee of Seattle Animal Control who told us they have a great fostering program for adoptable animals whose owners can’t be found or won’t come forward. This was the best option tonight for this dog.
You should post the picture at Cloud City Coffee!
If the puppy goes up for adoption, please try local before the pound!
Thanks
