One of Maple Leaf Life’s readers wrote this morning about more car prowls since our last report.
I’m hearing from our neighbors about more car break ins. It seems there was a pick-up truck was broken into last night on 8th just North of 92nd. The window was broken to get in and steal something from inside. And by Olympic View there was a sedan parked on the corner across the street with its passenger-side window broken, and probably burglarized.
Those appear to be too new to show up on the police map.
But the map does show a new burglary in the 500 block of Northeast Eighth Street. That occurred Monday evening, Dec. 6.
And it shows four more car prowls occurred:
- Early in the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 7, in the 11000 block of Goodwin Way Northeast.
- The night of Sunday, Dec. 5, in the 1200 block of Northeast 103rd Street.
- Saturday night, Dec. 4, in the 500 block of Northeast 103rd Street and in the 1200 block of Northeast 95th Street.
My truck was the one mentioend above and friends of ours on 85th east of 5th reported their car stolen after thief used garage door opener from car to break into the house and steal some items, all while they were sleeping Monday night.
