Early Sunday morning a man died when the car he was driving hit a tree just east of Maple Leaf, Seattle police say.
The 27-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Two male passengers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and a dog in the car was treated by a vet, police said.
The accident occurred about 1:30 a.m. when the driver’s Acura Integra, traveling northbound on 24th Avenue Northeast, failed to make a left curve approaching Northeast Northgate Way, according to police.
