In a reminder that not everyone loves beavers, a worker from Seattle Public Utilities, “attacked the Maple Leaf beaver dam with an ax” on Monday, reports Maple Leaf Life, despite the fact the beavers just had babies. But according to Seattle Public Utilities, Mayor McGinn isn’t a beaver-hater, contrary to the subsequently-removed P-I post headlined “Mayor Attacks Maple Leaf Beaver,” which allegedly incorrectly quoted a worker as saying the mayor ordered the destruction, Maple Leaf Life adds.
