Grass athletic fields closed, egg hunts still on

Looks like it’s a little too wet out there for the city’s parks this weekend.

Seattle Parks and Recreation has closed all of its grass athletic fields today and tomorrow because they’re simply too muddy from our spring showers. All baseball and softball games and practices are canceled on those fields through Saturday, although games on synthetic fields may continue as planned.

All you egg hunters out there, don’t worry, you’re still on for Saturday morning hunts throughout the city.

For more information, call the department’s Rain-out Hotline at 233-0055.
