If you can’t make it to the “Family to Family Option School Fair” on Saturday, there still are a few chances to learn more about the nearby K-5 Thornton Creek School.
The option school, located at 7711 43rd Ave. N.E., is holding an open house from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, in addition to offering 9:15 a.m. visits for parents the next two Thursdays, March 11 and 18.
Parents have until the end of the month to apply for their child to go to an option school or another Seattle Public School than the one that was assigned.
Families with students attending option schools will be available to answer questions at the “Family to Family Option School Fair,” from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 13, at the John Stanford Center, 2445 Third Ave. S.
To learn more about this month’s open enrollment, enrollment staff will be available to answer questions from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at the Green Lake Library, 7364 E. Green Lake Drive N., and from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, at the Lake City Library, 12501 28th Ave. N.E.
