At 1 p.m. Seattle City Light is reporting over 20,000 customers without power, including in Maple Leaf, Ravenna and Phinny.
The cause is unknown apparently equipment failure, according to a video posted to Facebook by City Light. A a surge hit Maple Leaf at 11:41 a.m., briefly cutting power.
There is a high wind warning in effect until 6 p.m., but its boundaries don’t quite reach Maple Leaf.
City Light estimates power will be restored in about two hours.
