Thornton Place is the gathering area to be this summer with the addition of its new Summerfest that kicked off this weekend, followed next weekend by the first-ever Seattle Chess Club Tournament Simultaneous Exhibition.
From 12:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, you’re invited to join the chess tournament that will pit 30 players against one another. Registration fee is $10, payable at the adjacent box office at Regal Thornton Place Stadium 14.
