Earlier this morning Joe Walker, who identified himself as the owner of Pandora’s Adult Cabaret on Lake City Way, offered to meet with the community councils which have raised questions about the strip club’s permit.
Our previous posts on the club, 8914 Lake City Way N.E., have generated considerable comments both in Maple Leaf and in Wedgwood.
Walker wrote on both Maple Leaf Life and Wedgwood View:
As the owner of Pandora’s, I would appreciate an opportunity to meet with both the Wedgewood Community Council and the Maple Leaf Community Council to address any and all concerns each may have regarding the impact on the surrounding neighborhoods.
Having worked in the adult business here in Seattle for the last 27 years I am well aware of both the real and imagined effects this business can have.
Thank you for your time
Joe Walker
This is going to be so turrible! I don’t know what I’ll do knowing that there are naked ladies dancing for money on a 4 lane highway where they can’t serve booze! I’m just going to call the police over and over and over again on them until they give up and don’t put any money into the neighborhood.
But it’s totally cool that the Shell across the street sells pipes and scales and 4 loko it’s just the boobies I’ve got a problem with.
Get a hobby, catero.
Let’s give the guy an opportunity to tell us his plans.
Some questions though:
Where are they going to valet the cars? the neighborhood?
Facebook seems to indicate he was at Talent’s West and what he will do differently this time?
if Mr. Walker is trying to avoid the same outcome as Rick’s (prostitution etc.) what is the logic of recruiting former Ricks and Honeys dancers?
No open minds here, apparently.
Ironic that his offer to talk to the councils coincides with a complete inability for anyone to contact him. One-way communication is his idea of communication, apparently.
Why doesn’t he put it next to his own house? He probably lives in a gated community.
We’re attempting to contact him but his email bounced. If he happens to read this, then he should visit the Wedgwood CC web site and contact Per Johnson.
