More evidence of our miserable summer

Two weeks before Halloween, and traces of our poisonous summer still linger.

This was the scene Friday at a pumpkin patch near Snohomish, one this dog has visited every October since he was born.

Unlike every other year, this fall there are more green pumpkins than orange ones. And many, many pumpkins had simply rotted in place.

  1. You’re right; Snohomish is a city east of Everett that DOES have a pumpkin patch. Arrow, though, has been a Maple Leaf resident since he was six weeks old.
Would be nice to have a patch in Maple Leaf. Or even a good greengrocer.
