More stolen cars in and around Maple Leaf

The most significant incidents that have appeared on the police map since the last time we wrote about crime in Maple Leaf involve stolen cars.

According to police, vehicles were stolen on:

  • Thursday, Oct. 7, around noon, from the 8800 block of Lake City Way Northeast.
  • Wednesday morning, Oct. 6, from the 10000 block of First Avenue Northeast.
  • Monday night, Oct. 4, from the 8400 block of Fifth Avenue Northeast.
  • Saturday afternoon, Oct. 2, from the 800 block of Northeast 115th Street.
  • Tuesday night, Sept. 28, from the 1700 block of Northeast 89th Street.

  1. Judy has the right idea. Who do we need to contact in Maple Leaf to form a Neighborhood Watch? This is too good an area to allow these brash actions to continue. Let’s get something done and get our community leaders moving too!

  2. It’s especially shocking to me that so many are stolen during the day. Neighborhoods definitely need to form Neighborhood Watch groups and get to know each other. Then get nosy!
