You might have seen the sign on Roosevelt Way Northeast: “The Maple Leaf Branch – Coworking Office.”
What’s that? (Yes, it’s spelled correctly.)
According to the office’s website it includes:
Fast wifi, electricity, and other essentials.
A reason to wear something other than pajamas.
Copy/print/fax machine.
A dog friendly environment.
“Coworking” is sharing office space. There are at least five coworking locations in Seattle, including one in Ballard.
Here in Maple Leaf, though, the office space at 8503 Roosevelt Way N.E. is being offered for free until June 1, so you and your dog go try it out! After June 1 it costs between $13 and $20 a day; prices are here.
A great use of some excess office space, and a great service to the community and the Free-Lance Nation. And Matt’s a really nice guy! Check it out, and good luck to Matt!
Definitely check out the Maple Leaf Branch! I worked there the other day and thought it was great. A good office to get work done, and near a park if you need to take a break and stroll. Congrats to Matt for all the hard work he’s done to get it started!
