Last night’s clear skies prompted an unknown artist to depict the stars and constellations as seen over the neighborhood, with the Maple Leaf water tower in the bottom right. Especially appropriate is Sirius (the dog star), as this sketch was drawn on the white board at the Dog Oasis, a popular stop for dog walkers at the corner of 12th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 89th Street. Skies are forecast to remain clear, with sunny days, right through the weekend.
(Disclosure: The co-editor of Maple Leaf Life is also the co-keeper of the Dog Oasis. He is most definitely not, however, the artist.)
