Happy Fourth of July, the unofficial start of summer in Seattle, and a good time to start planning for National Night Out.
Scenes from last year’s National Night Out in Maple Leaf.
This year, the neighborhood block party with a crime-fighting goal is taking place Tuesday, Aug. 2, and the city of Seattle is inviting neighbors who are participating to register their block online, allowing you to close your street to traffic so neighbors can safely meet and mingle in the street. The city says:
Night Out is a fun event to meet your neighbors, and organize your neighborhood against crime.
Will you be participating this year?
