Ginger wrote this morning to tell us she found a Vizsla near Olympic View Elementary School, 504 N.E. 95th St.

I found this dog wandering near the elementary school, darting in front of cars. I’ve taken it home to try and locate the owner. I will have to call Seattle Animal Control shortly, I can’t keep the dog at my house for long. I’d guess it’s about 80 pounds. Collar, no tags. Very friendly with people and other dogs. If you know or recognize the dog please contact the owners to get in touch with me!

Know this dog? Call Ginger at 206-498-6074, or leave her a message here.

Update: Jackie has since posted this on the Maple Leaf Life Facebook page: “I think this dog is owned by a family on 96th btw 8th and Roosevelt with a child who attends OV. I’ve seen them with the dog before.”

  1. Just found him again with another man who lives in Maple Leaf. Any of you that drive on Roosevelt, know that this guy could run right out in front of you at 96th and Roosevelt.

  2. Thanks to those who rescued our dog Cody after one of the kids’ friends accidentally left our back gate open. His microchip is now working and he has his tags on. If he ever happens to break out again, we live at 810 n.e. 96th St., 2 doors up from Olympic View where Cody often plays with his owner Patrick who attends school there.

  3. Ginger mailed earlier this afternoon to say the dog IS chipped, but that for some reason the chip isn’t registering. -MLL

  4. Take him to ACCES (Animal Critical Care and Emergency Service) at 11536 Lake City Way. They can scan for a microchip and maybe get in touch with the owner.
