Older, smaller 24 Hour Fitness to close its doors

The 24 Hour Fitness now open in Northgate at 11030 Eighth Ave. N.E. will be closing its doors Dec. 16, the day before the new 24 Hour Fitness opens at the 507 Northgate building at the corner of Northgate Way and Fifth Avenue Northeast, according to a letter sent to current members of the Northgate club.

We weren’t sure what its fate would be, but since the new location is a “Super Sport” club with an indoor lap pool, full-sized basketball court, kids club and more amenities that the current club lacks, the older gym’s closure is likely a welcome change for most members, especially since their membership will be transferred to the new gym at no cost.

Thanks to Rebecca with our neighboring Ravenna Blog for sending the letter our way.
