The sun came out just in time for opening day of the Lake City Farmers Market — and just in time for Half Pint Ice Cream, where the line kept growing as the day warmed up.

The market, which is located next to the Lake City Library at Northeast 125th Street and 28th Avenue Northeast, is open from 3-7 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 7, which means you still have a couple of hours to stop by tonight.

So what are you missing out on? In addition to fresh-from-the-farm food, there’s freshly made food.

As well as plenty of taste-testing in case you’re not sure what you’d like to buy.

Plus something to beautify your home to go with the beautiful meal you’ll be making.

And don’t forget about the Meadowbrook Farmers Market, which opens this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Check out some of the opening day festivities here.
