Police overnight report a woman attempting to make a deposit to the Bank of America branch at Northgate Mall was stabbed on the hand by a robber who took her deposit bag.

An armed robbery suspect and his accomplice remain at large tonight after robbing and assaulting a woman outside a bank this evening in North Seattle.
At approximately 7:45 p.m. officers responded to the report of an armed robbery with a knife outside the Bank of America located in the 400 block of Northeast Northgate Way.
Preliminary investigation indicates that an adult male suspect was waiting in the hallway area on the south side of the bank near the night deposit box. The female victim approached the night deposit box to make a deposit. The suspect attempted to strike up a conversation while moving in closer to the victim. The victim ignored him. The suspect then took hold of the victim’s deposit bag with his right hand while holding a knife in his left hand. The suspect demanded the money and threatened to stab the victim. The woman resisted and during the struggle that ensued the victim was cut on the hand. The suspect fled the scene on foot with the deposit bag and the victim’s wallet.
Mall security followed the suspect as he ran out the exit door. The suspect was seen getting into a black car that was occupied by one other person. The suspects fled the scene in the vehicle and remain at large.
Fire department medics responded to the scene and treated the victim for her non-life-threatening injury.
The suspect is described as a very thin built white male in his 30′s, 5’10″ tall, last seen wearing a black baseball cap and an Alexander Seahawks jersey.
Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identities or whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to this incident. Anonymous tips are welcome.
This remains an active and on-going investigation.
Wedgewood post office seems to carry attitude in other ways as well. I refuse to do business there.
If trying again and speaking with a supervisor doesn’t help maybe having a police escort might make a difference in getting info from post office?

Speaking of violence… An open letter to Shamira at the Wedgewood post office who looked at my legal and valid request to get the new address of a man who will likely end up killing me. I don’t think you went and looked up his name and found no change of address on file. Without giving up any details, this man is a sociopath but due to his current profession and proclivities if you will, he would put in a change of address. There are 2 process servers looking for him and my life is hanging in the balance while you look me in the eye and judge me. Let a real judge make the determinations. This is what happens to people who are abused – they may appear worn out and anxious – a little “off” even. I’m not required to show you ID but did so without hesitation. I hope you remember my name and my face if you watch the evening news. If someone makes a legal and valid request and shows ID without hesitation then you should do your job. I want to live. I love my community and all of the many wonderful people that live and work in and around it. My neighbors are my family. I hope that in the worst case scenario… all of the people I’ve helped over the years will not let me become just another statistic.
