Questions about church bells and tire tracks

Two questions have popped in that we didn’t immediately have answers for, but thought other residents might.

Beth writes: “I’m a Maple Leaf resident. I’m wondering which church has the bell that rings around 12 and 6? Is it the one on 5th or St. Catherine’s? I love hearing it, but I can’t figure out where it’s coming from.”

And Christian wonders: “I know you’re not supposed to enlighten us neighborhood residents with police reports but does any one know in any detail about who made the tire tracks in the middle of Maple Leaf Park, or when?”  (The police sites are not enlightening on this issue.)

  1. Who made *which* set of tire tracks in Maple Leaf Park??? It happens all too frequently, and I don’t think the cops *ever* catch the perps.

On the other hand – I have seen the Seattle Parks Dept make some pretty groovy tracks in the park as well.

  2. I think the bells you’re hearing are from Olympic View Community Church of the Brethren. We live just around the corner from there and have been enjoying the sounds for years (though to be accurate, I think the bells are broadcast via loudspeaker).
