Window that displayed reservoir park plans smashed in

You’re going to have to look elsewhere for details on the new Maple Leaf Reservoir Park: The building across the street that once displayed the plans had its front window smashed.

That’s where the plans were posted. The building, located on the corner of Roosevelt Way Northeast and Northeast 86th Street, also lost part of a planter in front of the window.

“I drove by yesterday at about 5:30 p.m. and there was damage to the front of the building and police on the scene,” Ross e-mailed us earlier today.

The building is owned by Tom Stephenson, the former owner of Maple Leaf Ace Hardware, who in recent years used it as a warehouse, and can tell rollicking takes of former goings-on there.

We’re still hoping to track down more details. Anybody got the scoop?
