Cooper’s Alehouse, 8065 Lake City Way N.E., just announced on Twitter that it was broken into overnight, but all the thief made out with was an empty cash register, said bartender Sue Bauman.
“They were in the building for less than 10 seconds,” she said.
The alarm went off at 4 a.m., and the whole incident was recorded on the Maple Leaf bar’s video-surveillance system. But Bauman says the footage likely isn’t clear enough to identify the suspect.
“There’s a police report, but I don’t think they’re going to be able to follow up,” she said.
The burglar left the flat-screen TVs and all of the alcohol, though, so it’s still business as usual.
