North Helpline is also looking for businesses to sponsor food barrels.

North Helpline – the food bank that helps people in Northeast King County – has seen demand for its services increase by 30 percent since the start of the year.

In March it issued an urgent appeal for more donations. Now the Wedgwood Alehouse will host a silent art auction from 3-5 p.m. this Sunday to benefit North Helpline’s Food Bank and Emergency Services.

“Every dollar donated to our programs helps us meet the growing need for healthy food, eviction prevention and utility assistance in this community,” e-mails Amy Besunder, executive director.

Framed photos start at just $30, and the Alehouse will offer $1 off beers.
